Technology Transfer and Services

The BGSU Research Institute is a nonprofit corporation that supports faculty members, staff members, and students in commercializing intellectual property developed at the University. The Research Institute functions to:

• Capitalize on the statewide initiative to stimulate the economy with scholarly achievements—especially in science and technology.
• Promote innovation and stimulate an entrepreneurial culture on campus.
• Offer opportunities to faculty, staff and students opportunities increase the public impact of their scholarship and to participate in any revenue generated through commercialization.
• Align with the University’s initiative on engagement.
• Provide new technology that benefits the public.
